Christmas Gift Ideas 2020

Christmas is just eleven days away and I’m here to help! You still have plenty of time to shop and ship especially if you shop small. I visited my favorite East Village small business for all things kitchen and dining – Kitchen Collage – to put together gift ideas for all foodies and quarantined home cooks in your life.

Stocking Stuffers

Oven Thermometer

All ovens are not created equal. An oven thermometer takes away the guess work and ensures proper temps and more consistent results. $

OXO Small (not mini) Cookie Scoop

Size matters and we’re going with this little fella. Absolutely perfect for baking cookies with professional level consistency. $

Mini Timers

To borrow from an old infomercial – Set it and forget it! I love mini timers. I have a few in different colors that I place next to whatever’s cooking or baking. They’re a great way to keep your kitchen projects on track. $

OXO Mini Offset Spatula

You may find this labeled as a cupcake spatula, but it’s not a one trick pony. I use mine to spread, lift, place and scrape just about anything and everything that comes across my cutting board or baking sheet. $

GIR Skinny Spatula

Get It Right (GIR) does just that with this spatula. Heat proof? Check. BPA and BPS free? Check. Lifetime guarantee? Check. Plus, there’s no bottleneck too narrow or jar too deep with this long handled tool. $

Nesting Prep Bowls

These were one of my first purchases from Kitchen Collage. Everything about them screams neat and tidy and they’re a must-have for anyone who documents their kitchen adventures for social media. $

Folding Thermometer

I heart a probe thermometer. I don’t heart reaching into my kitchen drawer and jabbing myself with said probe. A folding thermometer tucks away neatly in a drawer or an apron pocket. $

Prep Works Bash n’ Chop

Yes, you can use the flat part of this scraper to divide dough and smash garlic cloves, but it’s the cylindrical handle for me. The handle is that small difference that helped this product replace my other bench scrapers. $

$ 0-50 $$ 50-100 $$$ 100-200 $$$$ 200+
